— 02 · How It Works

What a Virtual Appointment Actually Looks Like.

Nearly every appointment here happens by video or phone — there's no waiting room and no drive. If you're in Dade City, Florida, or nearby in Pasco County and would rather be seen in person, that option is always open, but nothing on this page requires it.

01

Reach Out

Book online or text us directly at (352) 584-9931. Telemedicine runs 24/7, and same-day appointments are available for most acute conditions.

02

Your Appointment

You and Sheena talk by secure video or phone — she goes through your symptoms and health history, and makes a diagnosis. Every appointment is with her directly.

03

Your Plan

You leave with a real treatment plan. When a prescription is appropriate, it goes electronically to the pharmacy you choose — often the same day.

04

What Comes Next

Labs, bloodwork, medication follow-up, and refills are coordinated from here. If something needs to be seen in person, Sheena will tell you plainly.

— 03 · Chronic Care

Chronic Condition Management.

High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and thyroid disorders aren't one-appointment problems, and they don't announce themselves. High blood pressure usually has no symptoms at all, and neither does high cholesterol — a blood test is the only way to measure it, per MedlinePlus. That's the whole reason ongoing management looks different from a same-day sick appointment: the work isn't treating a symptom you can feel, it's watching a number over time.

In practice, that means periodic labs, checking your own blood pressure at home between appointments, and adjusting medication as your numbers move — the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute describes both home monitoring and changing a treatment plan over time as a normal part of living with high blood pressure. It's a good fit for telemedicine for the same reason: a home blood-pressure cuff and a lab near you produce the numbers, and the appointment is the conversation about what they mean.

Your plan is yours, not a template. How often you're seen, what gets checked, and how any medication is adjusted depend on your history and how you respond — Sheena will lay out your specific plan with you at your appointment.

— 04 · Pricing

What It Costs.

Walk the Line is a cash-pay practice — you don't need insurance to be seen here, and you won't be billed through one. Appointments are a flat fee, so what you pay is what you were told you'd pay.

If you do have coverage and you're prescribed a medication it covers, we handle the prior authorization and send the prescription to your own pharmacy so you can use your pharmacy benefit.

For the exact fee for the appointment you need, text us at (352) 584-9931 — you'll get a straight answer before you book anything.

Frequently Asked Questions.

How does a virtual visit actually work?

Your appointment happens by secure video or phone call, from home, your office, or wherever you happen to be. Sheena reviews your symptoms and health history with you, makes a diagnosis, and puts together a treatment plan — including a prescription when that's appropriate. If anything about your case needs to be seen in person, she'll tell you plainly rather than treat it virtually.

What conditions can you treat by telemedicine?

Walk the Line treats a wide range of everyday acute and chronic conditions virtually — colds and flu, sinus infections, sore throat, ear infections, COVID, and UTIs on a same-day basis, plus ongoing conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and thyroid disorders, along with hormone replacement therapy, birth control, mental health care, prescriptions and refills, and annual wellness checks. If you’re not sure whether your situation fits, text us and ask.

Can you send a prescription to my pharmacy?

Yes, when it’s clinically appropriate. Prescriptions — including antibiotics and refills of medications you already take — are sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice, so there’s no paper script to pick up and no separate trip.

Can I be seen the same day?

For many acute conditions, yes — cold and flu, sinus infections, sore throat, ear infections, COVID, and UTIs are all seen on a same-day basis, and select pediatric concerns are too. Text or book online to see what’s available today.

Do I need insurance to be seen?

No — Walk the Line is a cash-pay practice, so you don’t need insurance and you won’t be billed through one. If you do have coverage and a medication you’re prescribed is covered by it, we handle prior authorization and can send the prescription to your own pharmacy so you can use your pharmacy benefit.

Who provides my care?

Sheena Eversole, MSN, AAPRN, FNP-BC — an Autonomous Nurse Practitioner who has practiced medicine since 2004, licensed and credentialed to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe independently. Every appointment is with her directly, not a rotating panel of providers.

Do I have to come to your office in Dade City, Florida?

No. Care here is delivered virtually for nearly every patient, in all 13 states where Sheena is licensed: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Idaho, Massachusetts, Maine, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. Walk the Line does have a real office — 13951 7th Street, Unit 1, Dade City, FL 33525 — so if you're in Dade City or nearby in Pasco County, Florida, and would rather be seen in person, that's always an option.
